Combination Taping is the combination of 2 different tying techniques in one application.

Its mechanical action through the skin receptors has made this method revolutionary with a wide variety of applications not only in the musculoskeletal system of the human body but also in the nervous system and chronic diseases.

Combination Taping (McConnell tape on Kinesiology tape) is applied without affecting their peculiarities mainly in the proprioceptive behavior, on the contrary it strengthens, stabilizes and facilitates the function of the musculoskeletal system, because it ensures the desired movement on the one hand but also modifies favorably of macodynamic relations and kinetic shapes.

By itself, the kinesiology tape, while offering proprietary behavior where it is applied in relation to the stabilization of the articular surfaces, is quite far away, even at 100% of its maximum elasticity (40%). Therefore, in order for an application to be complete both dynamically and functionally, it must be supported by the rigid McConell, as mentioned above, without affecting the behavior of the former (kinesiology) at all. Therefore the simultaneous applications at the same point of application offer an image complete with excellent mechanical behavior of the articulated surfaces, and more.

Looking at each of the two bandages (kinesiology tape kai McConell) separately, we find that they have many differences between them but also some common ones, the most important of which is that they have the same area of application, the skin.

From the moment of application, they irritate the skin receptors, thus triggering the spinal cord through the aesthetic neurons.

The Combination Taping method does not give a primary role to either of the two aforementioned films, but from its daily practical application we find that they overlap harmoniously, complementing the differences between them.

Because we did not have until now the possibility of a single lashing tape that represents these two techniques, covering the advantages and reducing their disadvantages, we created a technique The Combination Taping.

Neurological Disorders of the peripheral nervous system

Through the various receptors of the skin, it constantly irritates and "fires" the central nervous system for the duration of the ligation (3-5 days), making the biofeedback application exist and creating a close cooperation between PATIENT-TAPE.

Chronic Pain

It soothes the patient in the area which is applied with immediate relief of muscle pain disorders and relieves the points of friction of various joints. Contributes to the ergonomic behavior of the patient at the points of application of the bandage.

Psychological effects

It is believed that the application of the film itself can affect through psychological factors, such as the obvious effect that the focus of attention and care of others on the individual's problem, but also neurophysiological, such as increased awareness of the area due to film feel.

Invention Name: "Combination Taping"
{Record number 232/20014-20015 and international classification «INT.CL. A61F13/02» (International Patent Classification).}

It is the most modern and clinically advanced combined banding technique

It is the only one that has been given to a Greek in the field of health professions in our country.

It is based on the practical application and combination of 2 (two) different lacing techniques "McConnell taping" and "kinesiology taping". It is not just about learning tying techniques, but about a deeper and more comprehensive approach that includes techniques of the aforementioned (McConnell, kinesiology tape) in a single application, the "combination tape".

"Combination taping" is applied without affecting the peculiarities of the two different materials that it represents in contrast, strengthens, firmly and facilitates the operation of the musculoskeletal system, ensures the desired movement and favorably modifies mycodynamic relationships and kinematic shapes.

These two materials, apart from their differences, have some things in common, the most important of which is that they have the same area of application, the skin.

Important points of the invention

1. The "combination taping" technique is the most modern and clinically advanced form of combination taping. It is based on the practical application and combination of two (2) different lacing techniques, "McConnell taping" and "kinesiology taping".

2. The specific "combined binding" technique is a deeper and more comprehensive approach, which includes applications from both techniques, McConnell and Kinesiology taping, in a single application, "Combination taping".

3. The "Combination taping" technique is applied without affecting the particularities of the other two materials, mainly their specific behavior. on the contrary it strengthens and stabilizes it.

4. The technique "combination taping", ensures the desired movement on the one hand but also modifies favorably, without affecting the macodynamic relationships and kinematic shapes of the musculoskeletal system.

5. The application of McConnell taping 100% rigid over the rubber "kinesiology taping" (40% rubber), does not affect the elasticity of the lower band, instead keeps it in the same shape, upgrading to a complete functional splint.
